Attention Oculus Users: Don’t Lose Your Games and Data! To avoid Oculus Account Deletion, Migrate to Meta Account Before March 29th
Important Information: Meta is phasing out Oculus accounts and will permanently delete them on March 29th, 2024. This means you’ll lose access to all your VR purchases, achievements, friends list, and user-created content if you haven’t already migrated your account to a Meta account.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Check your inbox: Meta sent emails to affected users on October 31st, 2022, informing them about the account migration. If you haven’t received an email, it’s still recommended to take action to ensure your data is safe.
- Head to the Meta account creation page: https://familycenter.meta.com/dashboard
- Sign up for a Meta account: Use the same email address associated with your Oculus account during signup.
Once you’ve completed these steps, your Oculus account data will be transferred to your new Meta account, and you’ll continue enjoying your VR experience seamlessly.
Here are some additional points to remember:
- Don’t wait until the last minute: There’s still time to migrate your account, but act fast to avoid any last-minute complications.
- This is a permanent change: Once your Oculus account is deleted on March 29th, there will be no way to recover your lost data.
- This applies to all Oculus accounts: Whether you’re a new or existing user, migrating to a Meta account is crucial to access your VR library and continue using your Oculus device.
By taking these steps, you can ensure a smooth transition and continue your VR adventure without losing any valuable data or progress.
